At the seaside

plage ensoleillée

Go to the beach !

Mesperleuc beach: 500m away!

The closest … by no means the least beautiful! Below the campsite, marking the end of the rue de l’Océan. A large supervised beach!

Gwendrez beach: 1 km away!

A little further down the coast towards the south-east, known for its waves, it is a beach for surfers!

The beaches of Mesperleuc and Gwendrez are labeled “Blue Flag” thanks to the clear water and good management of the environment, waste and water.

In Audierne, the beach of Ste Evette

Close to the pier for the Ile de Sein. …

And also all the beaches of the Cap Sizun!

Many are supervised in summer: Baie des Trépassés in Cléden-Cap-Sizun, Trez Goarem and Sainte-Evette in Audierne-Esquibien.

Take a walk along the coast

A privileged choice of hikes (on foot or by bike) on the Cap Sizun!

Strolls along the coast are always pleasant moments, whatever the weather; the light is often very beautiful.

In Audierne, for example, along the right bank of the Goyen, the Pont-Croix-Audierne stretch of track has become a superb promenade, whether the tide is high or low.

At the reception of the campsite you will find a small selection of hiking guides with maps. Below are a few links to help you organize your hikes…

Visit port towns

From Guilvinec to Douarnenez, via Audierne, these small authentic ports will charm you… as long as the sun accompanies you! But the “Breton” drizzle is good for the complexion!

Practise aquatic activities

Information available at the campsite reception

Cap-Sizun has an exceptional natural setting and a very strong maritime identity. You will enjoy a host of activities: swimming, surfing, navigation, diving, sailing … these are open to everyone, from beginners to advanced.

Do not hesitate to consult the various leaflets available at the campsite reception.

Visit our towns and villages

Pont-Croix, the small town 5 km from the campsite

Set on a natural promontory, Pont-Croix overlooks the Goyen coastal river. This strategic location, at a crossroads, made the city the economic and administrative capital of Cap Sizun.

Quimper, the radiant city 35 km away

More urban and just as interesting to visit. Train terminus of the South Finistère, the town is worth a visit!

Prefecture of the Finistère and capital of Cornouaille, located on the estuary of the Odet, Quimper is a very dynamic medium-sized town combining tradition and modernity.

We advise you to take a walk in its town center and admire the St Corentin cathedral, to stroll along the quays of the Odet or in the gardens, or to visit the Breton departmental museum. You will thus discover part of its rich heritage (Quimper belongs to the national network of Cities of Arts and History).

The city is also magnificently flowered, the gardens exceptional.

It is also in Quimper that the traditional Cornouaille festival takes place every year in July, one of the biggest events devoted to Breton culture.

Locronan, the medieval village 30 km away

Classified as a Historic Monument since 1924, Locronan is one of the most prestigious sites in Brittany, due to its architecture. Located on a hill, in an exceptional natural setting 5km from the sea and the bay of Douarnenez, Locronan is a real haven of inspiration for artists, painters, writers, sculptors and filmmakers. The charm of this little Breton shrine never leaves you indifferent.

Activities in Plouhinec

Plouhinec is 8 km of coastline to discover; but it is also a superb media library (open to summer visitors) and a terrible Pumptrack site for lovers of wheels and casters of all kinds. For young people, but not only! Because not everyone is a surfer!
